Description
This is beautiful artwork is part of a series created for the Chicago Artists Month, which is featuring Dr Dursts exhibition of his impressionistic paintings, entitled, Chicago Impressions on the 16th of October. The theme of the CAM this year is The City As Studio and so Dr Durst has painted the iconic architecture and scenes that embody the spirit of Chicago.
This painting is of the rowboats at Loyola Park in East Rogers Park in Chicago. The rough texture of the sand contrasts with the reflective, calm waters of Lake Michigan.
It could be used as a beautiful decorative piece or for meditation or just to create a sense of peace and harmony. As a psychologist and heart-centered therapist, Dr. Durst, as always, has created visual experiences to connect to the heart.
Prints are available through Fine Art America, Fine Art Europe, Fine Art England and Fine Art Germany. They can be on canvas, metal acrylic, framed, gallery wrapped and even available as fine art greeting cards, throw pillows, etc. You can choose from one of 230 frames and 100 mats which can be used to create museum-quality masterpieces from any of my artwork.
To purchase a signed and hand-embossed Limited Edition, contact the artist directly from this site. Each one is hand glazed with many layers of acrylic paint and varnish to really bring out the beautiful colors and create a three dimensional effect. Thus, each Limited Edition is a unique work of art and valuable as an investment piece.

This is a quiet beach indeed. What particularly caught my eye is the exceptionally interesting composition….the boats and the wood pieces coming up from the water form a “V”, and the wood is picked up again in the distance. Magnificent!! Like/f

Michael, from Sandburg...To BEAUTY in your CHICAGO COLLECTION....🎶Chicago...Chicago!🎶 Your work So elegantly yet boldly shows the Colours of a city’s Beautiful side...especially the magnificence of the Great Lakes ’ beaches...it is WONDROUS to SEE the scale of our nation’s inland Waters that can resemble ocean vistas in their expansiveness and their mood, especially during stormy moments. You have So beautifully captured Lake Michigan’s “softer side”. LF
